Prayer of Healing

" (sorta) Renew Greater Heal/Heal Flash Heal PW: Shield Shield isn't a healing spell, but it must be made clear that it is the absolutely least mana effecient anti-damage spell a priest has. Prayer of Healing is the most mana efficient spell under the right circumstances. Essentially if three people get the full healing effect from PoH (with no overheal) it is the most mana effecient spell you can use. Renew is a great spell. One that I don't see many other priests use very often. wow gold It is a HoT, but it's also an AoT (Aggro over time) spell. It's also very mana efficient, comparitevly speaking. Generally speaking, Renew will heal about the same amount as a same rank Flash Heal, just for less mana and it's done over 15 seconds. Stacks with druid HoTs, but not other priests. Lesser Heal/Heal/Greater Heal. Slloooooooooow. wow lvl service > but still a lot more mana effcient than Flash heal. Flash Heal- for emergencies, and is a crutch(aka the easy way out). It's a 1.5 second cast that heals for a moderate amount. If you use Flash Heal a lot it will eat through your mana pool very quickly. It has horrible mana efficiency. wow gold It's great for ""O S***!!! PAT PAT PAT"" emergencies where you just barely shielded someone whos health went down to 5% in 5 seconds and needs a heal not half a second too late. Other than that, even in raids, every time you want to use flash heal a hand should come out of your monitor and slap you in the face. General Healing Strtegies: Once again, I will state that this advice is for 5 man groups pre-endgame. My raid strat will be outlined further down. Work with, not against the 5 second rule. Incase someone is reading this that doesn't know what the 5 second rule is, the 5 second rule is that mana regneration wont restart until 5 seconds after a person has casted a spell.

So pretty much, if you have a ton of +spirit gear and all you do is cast Flash heal every 6 seconds, you should prolly trade it in for some +int gear. FLASH HEAL IS A CRUTCH!!!!!!! It's for emergencies I've seen wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too many priests use this as their main heal for absolutely everything. wow leveln That's right poster two posts above me, I'm looking at you. In raid healing it is more acecptable, however. PW:Shield is a mana inefficient spell, however it prevents casting interuptions. If 3 imps are attacking the mage in your party, throwing a shield on the mage will help that mage get off their 100000 second 10000000000000000 dps spell off, which helps the party as a whole. And gets you free ports If you have aggro... wow level service try not to run away. The people with more armour than you will have a hard time taking aggro off of you if you run away. " "Tier 1 5/5 Improved Renew -Increases amount healed by Renew by 3% per point. Makes a mana efficient spell even more so. Tier 2 5/5 Spiritual Healing -increases amount healed by your mana spells by 2% per point. No healer should be without 5 points in this. Tier 3 5/5 Subtelty -Absolutely useless for PvP. GREAT for PvE, as it helps your tank keep aggro off of you. Increases the survivability of both you and your party. Tier 4 5/5 Improved Healing -Decreases mana cost of Lesser Heal/Heal/Greater Heal by 3% per point. Vital for my strtegy for Raid Healing. 2/2 Improved Flash Heal -Reduces chance of being interupted while casting Flash Heal by 35% per point. When you get aggro and your shield is gone, this will save your life...

"Alright, I feel it's time to add my bit about the priest class, strategy wise. At the time I am making this post, my main (Golerth) is a lvl 54 Dwarven Priest. Before I start shooting my opinions on various bits about playing this class out of my various orafices, I want to say that the most useful Priest addon I have ever used is called Healpoints. I can't link it, because of this forums restrictions, but visit your favorite WoW interface site and search for ""Healpoints"". All healing callses can use this addon. What does Healpoints do. wow gold Essentially, it tells you your healing power. It tells you how much you can heal with your most powerful healing spell in 30 seconds with a full mana bar, how much you can heal in 3 minutes with your most efficient spell starting with no mana, how much you regen in 1 minute and much more. Most importanly, it's a calculator. How much exatly are you benifitting from that +55 to healing bonus. Plug the numbers in, and it will tell you exactly how much. wow lvl service What if you traded 100 int for 100 spirit. How would that effect things. Plug it in, and it will tell you. How much gas did you get from eating that Chili last night. Plug it in and it wi- well... wow gold maybe it wont tell you that :/ Now on to the meat of my post- something you have to keep in mind this advice is geared towards 5 man groups with a single priest. I'll post my thoughts on Raid healing a bit later. Just for the heck of it, this is what my build will be when I hit 60- a Holy/Disc priest geared for Raid and 5 Man healing.

Pure healing build- Shadow Priests can suck it-...until they steam roll me in PvP ;_; Discilpine Tree- 21 points Tier 1 5/5 Unbreakble Will -It helps a little bit, and since this is a healing build getting the other tier 1 skill in disc would be pointless. Tier 2 3/3 Improved PW:S -while PW:Shield is the most mana ineffiecient spell in a priests repitoire it will save the life of many clothies when they critted the boss when they didn't want to and got aggro. Normally there is a 30 second wait before you can shield someone, 3 points in this reduces it to 15 seconds. 2/2 Improved PW:Fortitude -Increases potencey of PW:Fortitude- extremely useful. Tier 3 5/5 Mental Agility -Reduces the cost of instant cast spells by 2%for every point invested. wow leveln Inceases mana effieceny with many important spells. And it really helps when you are rebuffing your party with PW:F. Tier 4 5/5 Mental Strength -increases your mana pool by 2% for every point invested. Extremely useful, as a priest travels on their mana pool. Tier 5 1/1 Inner Focus Reduces the the mana cost of your next spell by 100%, and gives the spell a 25% chance to cirt if it is capable of critting. Really, this is like getting a free Greater Heal or PoH, every 5 minutes. " "Group Role Plain and simple, your role it to make sure the Main Tank and Off Tank stay alive, with emphasis on the Main Tank. Your life is intertwined with the MT since he needs you to keep him alive and you need him to keep aggro away from you and the others. wow level service It's also your responsibility to monitor other players health, and if the situation allows, give them heals or debuffs as needed. A Guide to Healing This is more how I heal. For mana conservation, I don't heal until a player is -900 health as that is the minimum that Flash Heal will heal for, this helps with mana conservation.

I don't do ANYTHING except heal, and for the most part I don't attack, I don't cast damage spells, I don't use my wand, I wait for damage and then monitor that damage. I make myself available to heal when needed, that is the absolute priority. If I'm feeling saucy, I may attack with my staff as I can still cast right away if needed.

Class Roles in Groups - Priest

"Group Role – Priest By Liseryoth Priests can generally heal better than any other class in the game and they can, if specced for it, do serious damage. For the most part Priests are Shadow-specced throughout their leveling and re-spec when they need to meet the massive demand for healing needed for end game. It's is arguable that a Shadow Priest can do a lot of healing which is true, but they don't possess the talents needed to keep a main tank up without getting aggro. Priests have three talent trees to select from: Discipline: This is where I have 33 points allocated with some BIG benefits: Divine Spirit +35 spirit Improved Power Word:Fortitude that enables stamina increased by 70 Improved Power Word:Shield, with a 15 second cooldown not the normal 30 second. This has saved many players when I have aggro and need breathing space to cast a heal. Mental Strength, overall mana increased by 10% Meditation, allows 15% of your mana to be regenerated while casting (These next two are things I find are very undervalued and I use them ALL the time) Focused Casting, when activated you don't lose casting time if you are hit for 8 seconds. Inner Focus, This is basically a free mana spell that gives you a 25% chance to crit, once again has saved a wipe by keeping up a tank with a FREE greater heal. Holy There are some nice things in Holy that I would like, but don't want to lose what I have in Discipline. wow gold I cast Flash Heal more than any other spell, so I set my tree up to focus on Flash Heal. So the things that won out in this talent point battle: Holy Specialization, increase chance to crit by 5% Spiritual Healing, increase amount healed by 10% Subtlety, reduce threat generated from spell by 20% Improved Flash heal, 70% chance to avoid interruption when from damage when casting. Shadow I have nothing in Shadow at all at level 60, as most of the talents are focused on damage dealing spells.

Shadow makes DPS easier for leveling, PVP and grinding. When I was Shadow I found I just couldn't keep up with healing. There are several reasons for this, which I will explain later. wow lvl service My experience is that a Shadow Priest lacks the healing capacity and healing flexibility to be a main healer. I came to this painful conclusion on my own...and I miss it pure Shadow Pwn@g3 from time to time. This is a topic of considerable discussion among priests. " " In my experiences, it misses quite a bit, but when a tank loses aggro and it comes onto you, a rogue, it's never good. One of my recent runs in Uldaman(PUG) I ran into some issues when the tanks weren't tank enough to tank. Then they complained to me why I did not take the aggro, trying to make it look like I was doing nothing whatsoever (Regardless of the fact my add-ons said I had done about 44% of the damage that instance, and I was at the top of the list, followed by the mage, then the tank.) I had to explain that It wasn't my job to maintain the aggro. I used feint alot that run because I would have easily taken it. The only time a rogue should attempt to gather aggro is defending the 'squishies' in the group. wow gold If mobs start running for the mages / priests, run after them, gouge, and get the aggro. Give the tank some time to get things back in line. All of my personal experience here has been from lower level instances, the highest instance I've ever been in is Zul'Farak. wow leveln I was still using these techniques in there. Perhaps in the end-game instances, roles will change, as I do not have experience in that specific Arena. I often take it upon myself to protect the casters, as Generally, I can take down add's faster than a tank getting distracted and pulling the whole group closer.

I can tank for a short period to dispatch a single add, leaving the tank on the main objective and protecting the casters. And a tip for you squishies who always run when getting hit, try not to run away from the rogue trying to catch up with you, we have sprint, but it's on a 5 minute timer and if we have to continuously do it for you, one boss fight probably won't be enough of a cooldown. And when all else fails, Vanish. wow level service Just remember to bring Flash Powder. As far as soloing goes, and this applies to groups as well if there aren't many methods of crowd control in your group. If you have a weapon that adds a slowness effect to a person, i.e. ice, use your choice of poisons on it, but when fighting with a weapon that does not have a slowness effect, specifically against humanoids (instances generally have more humanoids than other mobs), use crippling poison on at least one of your weapons (if you are dual weilding - also highly recommended) because it helps immencely when they reach the flee point. For multiple reasons: 1.) Its really really annoying trying to catch a guy so you can hit him *looks at casters again*. 2.) It makes it easier to finish the enemy off before it reaches a larger group to pull back with it. " .

You can fly along many places, confident in the knowledge that the mobs down on

been knocked out of the sky yet but I figure it's just a matter of time. If you
fly from Hellfire Peninsula to Netherstorm, there are some more islands floating
in the Nether. On one of those islands is a wrecked sailing ship, which I think
is pretty weird, if not cool. As said above, the floating islands in Nagrand are
nice to look at, especially the ones with waterfalls. wow

I take a second look and I can't believe my eyes, are those two Warglaive of
Azzinoth. Why yes they are, in the same group as my brand new 70 Mage....fun So
this got me thinking, Arena matches are queued based on arena rating, why can't
we have battlegrounds that use match making also. A group makes a premade WG or
AB. wow
power leveling Well I believe the game should do it's best to match it up
against another premade. I believe this would make going into bg's with pugs
more bearable. Please leave comments that help with discussion as to whether or
not this would work, don't just L2P me and leave nothing constructive in return.
I agree it sucks going up against premades. I play alli on the cyclone
battlegroup (darkspear realm) It's funny, we win almost EVERY AV, but win about
1 in 20 EoTs. wow

expecting to get little honor and 1 mark from EoTs..... I too wish there was a
way to better match BGs, but would want it to be done w/o an increase in wait

I play alli on the cyclone
battlegroup (darkspear realm) It's funny, we win almost EVERY AV, but win about
1 in 20 EoTs. wow
level up It always seems like the horde run premades on EoTs. I just go in
expecting to get little honor and 1 mark from EoTs..... I too wish there was a
way to better match BGs, but would want it to be done w/o an increase in wait
time"

"The in-game breaking news text just announced extended maintenance for
tomorrow. This again, is a strong indicator that patch 2.4 is on the immediate
queue. wow eu We can expect the down time
to be at least until 11 a.m. PDT. This normally is substantially higher on patch
days, usually lasting until around 1 p.m. wow euro or 2 p.m. PDT. WoW Insider
staff will be burning the midnight oil to make sure that you have a good list of
patch mirrors and addon information ready to go when you wake up tomorrow
morning. Additionally, Belfaire has said that the patch is more around 300 megs,
not the 900 megs that is showing up on Gamespot. Further more, the Gamespot
download is a 2.0 to 2.4 update, which very few people will need tomorrow Drysc
just posted that the PTR is closed and that patch 2.4 testing has concluded. wow

Public Test Realm and Tournament Test Realm are now closing. We wanted to thank
everyone for their participation and bug reports, and we'll see you on the live

2.4. From the new gear, to class changes, to the new sights and sounds, we'll
have it all covered. " .

AH Tip of the Day: Cloth Is Your Friend

"I have been experimenting with different ways to create WoW gold with the Auction House and either I am extremely slow or smart. It’s pretty sad that I don’t really know which one just yet. (No, this is NOT an open invitation to flame me if you think I’m slow. ) Anyway, I just setup a single person guild so I could use the guild bank. I am always running out of room on my bank toon and this really has helped out with space a whole lot. wow gold It did take some work getting some signatures for the guild but, hey it was worth every penny. I had tons and tons of cloth like most people and not really knowing what I should do with it except it is a must sell to make more room (sometimes I feel like a pack rat). After investigating the cloth market in the AH and running a few numbers I realized that turning the cloth into heavy bandages really was the way to go. I could sell each piece of cloth for AH prices but without the AH fee or worrying about it not selling. Next, obviously, I took it to the next level and realized how dumb some people are. I found tons of auctions running that were being sold way cheap and I could actually buy out the auction turn the cloth into bandages and sell them to a vendor for a profit. This should give you a warning to make sure that the AH price you are selling stuff for isn’t less than what the vendor would give you. Also, if you are farming cloth it might be easier and more profitable to turn it into bandages and sell it. ""During my usual couple hour long internet search for the newest and greatest things to do with World of Warcraft I have actually came across a couple of extremely helpful WoW sites.

wow lvl service Both of these sites are great and will give you awesome tips that can and will help out your gold making abilities and can help prepare you for the next raid boss your guild is getting ready to go after. First, i’ll talk a little bit about BossKillers.com . This site really just has strategies and tips to use for fighting different raid bosses and can really help out your first time to fight a certain WoW raid boss. This site gives a text guide, a video guide, offers tons of links to other strat guides that can be useful when fighting a certain boss. wow gold This site really is a must use if you are a guild leader, that is for sure. Their own guide covers each phase of the fight, specific class roles during each fight, recommended buffs, and even shows specific player placements during the fight. Not to mention they are looking for people to write guides for them for certain fights and are paying from $75 - $100 per guide. The bad part about that is they only have 3 bosses left to get guides for until the new dungeons come out. The design of the site seems to bother me a bit, but that no means says that I have a good design with this blog. It really seems cluttered up a little bit and there really is a lot to choose from when trying to decide on what to click. For you that don’t like all the advertisements on other sites I counted only 2 places on this site that has ads on it and they are small and out of the way. Overall, it is very well put together. The other can’t live without site is WoWEcon.com . This site collects auction house data by using an addon and reports the information back to their website.

wow leveln You can then check on the price of items through all the different servers and even see which days and times of day items sell for the most. It really is a great addition and helps a lot when you are trying to buy low and sell high on the auction house. You can access all that information for free but they do offer a premium account so you can get more reports, in-game tools, email as well as cell phone text reports if you wish. The good part is the premium is only $3.33 a month which is really just a drop in the bucket for something like this that can make you tons of in-game gold. The only part about this is whenever I was checking on my server there really wasn’t a whole lot of data just yet since a lot of people on my server hasn’t downloaded the addon yet. wow level service I would like to see more data for my server but I bet if this really takes off huge then that will not be a problem…..just look at Allakhazam and Thottbot which both use data from players that use an addon to retrieve it. Anyway, those are 2 sites that I have found to be very valuable to your everyday play time and can help out tremedously with more gold and less raid wipes! If you know of any other sites that are really cool and helpful like that please let me know. NOTE TO GOLD SELLERS AND COMMENT SPAMMERS: Oh and please don’t post spam links to your gold sites, they will not show up here, we want actually useful sites! " .

"wow fiction:The Worgen Menace

"The Scythe of Elune The origins of this powerful artifact are, as of yet, unknown. However, through investigations of others who were in contact with it, it is said to be older than even the Kaldorei. guild wars gold It resembles a branch, twisted and gnarled wood, though the exact shape was never documented. The full extent of the powers it possesses have also gone undocumented and, perhaps, unresearched. However, it is known that the artifact holds the power to summon extra-dimensional beings to this world and, for a time at least, give the wielder control over them. Archmage Arugal's Madness During the Scourge invasion, Archmage Arugal happened upon the afore mentioned book by Ur . wow profession leveling Suffering from frustration of Dalaran's fall and despite his fellow mage's warnings both in the book and on the tounges of his comrades, Arugal managed to summon forth an army of worgen to do his bidding. It became apparent quickly that their might would strengthen the weakened forces of the Dalaran defends, however, just as they beasts tore into the Scourge invaders, they also turned upon the remaining mages of the Kirin Tor. Driven mad by his guilt, he retreated to Baron Silverlaine's keep above Pyrewood Village, where he slew the baron and took the keep for his own. wow leveln The remaining worgen he adopted as his children and cursed the village to transform into the wolf-men at night. As of yet, a way to remove the curse has yet to be found, though there are many, including Dreyvon Silverburg, who still seek a way to undo it. Velinde Starsong's Folly Velinde Starsong was a notable Sentinel sent to the border of Ashenvale and Felwood, tasked with driving the remaining demons of the Burning Legion from the Kaldorei's lands. Though her efforts were well thought out, it seemed that her task would always be just out of her reach.

wow eu One day, however, the tides turned. In her journal, she claims that it was Elune granting her prayers, but after further research, I severely doubt this. Velinde was “gifted” with the Scythe of Elune. wow lvl service At first, she was unsure of how to use it, but after much investigation of the artifact, summoned forth a score and a half of worgen to do her biding and fight back against the presence of the Burning Legion. They followed her orders infallibly and so, as the days passed, she summoned more and more to her side. The presence of the Burning Legion began to diminish and the sentinel was overjoyed. "Zandalar Tribe

"Tips The Zandalar rewards appeal to almost everyone. There are profession recipe rewards available as well as powerful leg, head, and shoulder enchantments. wow honor Some of those enchantments continue to be useful again and again in higher-level dungeons because they are the only enchantments of this type. You can also collect decent class equipment that can be used in more advanced dungeons. Building up your reputation with the Zandalar tribe is a great long-term strategy. You start out with 0/3000 neutral faction. You can gain reputation by turning in quests, turning in items, or killing monsters in Zul'Gurub. The steps to gaining reputation for this faction are pretty simple. guild wars gold Just keep going on Zul'Gurub (ZG) runs again and again until you build up enough reputation. You mainly get reputation just by killing the monsters and bosses. If you can do any other quests besides that, feel free to gain more reputation. Zul'Gurub resets every three days, so you can do it fairly often if you can find a group. cheap wow gold You gain about 2400-3000 reputation per run from killing monsters and bosses. Vinchaxa on Yojamba Isle to the West of Zul'Gurub will give you repeatable quests, to help you reach Exalted status with the Zandalar Tribe. Bijous can be obtained from various monsters inside Zul'Gurub. wow level up Bijous can be destroyed at the Altar of Zanza located, just past Vinchaxa. Doing this will get you 75 reputation points, also after destroying a Bijou you will receive a Zandalar Honor Token, which if used will get you another 50 reputation points toward the Zandalar Tribe. Hybrid Theory: What's a hybrid? v2.0

"Hybrid Theory returns under the banner of column-newb Alex Ziebart. Incredibly biased opinions await you. wow powerleveling If you are reading this, you have already been made a victim of his inability to create interesting graphics. No World of Warcraft players were harmed in the creation of the previous image, though that does not mean it won't hurt you. When I decided on my topic for today, I was mighty excited. A fire raged within me, and my fingers flew over the keyboard as soon as I sat down at the computer. My first column! Awesome! Yes! About three paragraphs in, I realized I should probably make sure my predecessor, Jason Lotito, hadn't done the topic yet. Unfortunately, he did. wow honor Fortunately, I completely disagree with what he said in every possible way. Perfect. What is a hybrid class. The basic answer is pretty simple: A class with multiple viable roles. Paladins, Druids and Shaman are obvious examples of a hybrid class. If you disagree with the fact that they're hybrids, you must be playing the wrong game. cheap wow gold Holy, Retribution, Protection. Feral, Balance, Restoration. Elemental, Enhancement, Restoration. wow honor All of them are viable specs, especially in raiding. As fun as it is to mock Retribution Paladins, even they have a place in the end-game. " .

"""No need to struggle...I'm here for you, my love..."" ""Gods! Why are you doing this. I'll give you anything! Anything!"" ""I have everything I want right here..."", she breathed heavily, jerking her claws from his flesh with a wet squelch. wow honor Weak from pain, hunger and thirst, he slowly started to drift into unconciousness, only to be slapped to attention. "You'll always want the MS warrior shackled.lotro gold. Unless you don't run any priest. He's the single most dangerous add you can have.wow eu. MS on your tank when Moroes enrages is hurting. He can one-shot healers.mp3 player. He'll probably whirlwind in the middle of your raid etc etc.If you have two shackles, the Retadin is a good second choice.mp3 players. He hurts, dispells and stuns. None of those are fun.or wow. He's a decent option for traps too.If you are lucky and get the Prot Warrior, just have your off-tank handle him. In between Vanishes he can be killed.really cheap wow gold. He mostly tickles anyway, though the disarm might make him a nuisance on a Warrior tank. Ferals couldn't care less. One advantage is that he'll break the Gouge/Blind as well by tickling your tank.If you get the healers, just have the priests be careful about the shackles and don't stand near 'em (the shackles that is, not the healer adds). Earthbind / Frost Trap / Tank Aggro on 'em will help keep your healers alive.Rogues can 'off-tank' (and I use the word in its broadest sense) the two priest adds through stuns and evasion.I've been there with only a single crowd control (well, I've been there without, but that's not the point I'm trying to make) and if I had to chose, I'd put it on the MS warrior every single time. For Moroes, I'm mostly going to echo the other comments.CC prioirty list: MS Warror -> Ret Pally -> Holy Pally -> Holy Priest/Shadow Priest. I never CC the Prot warrior, he is a (slight) rage assist for the off-tank.My kill order is basically the reverse of the above. SPriest over Holy, due to mana burn. If you have a BM Hunter, their pet can tank the adds.
I've also had the main tank pick them up along with Moroes. Can also use a frost mage to 'kite-tank' them. A 'trick' that may help next week: Send someone in pre-raid and check the adds - I have used Mind Vision or one of the engineering toys (Tonks. ) in the past - if you don't like what you get, then leave and reform the raid with another leader. You'll get a new raid ID, and new adds. I generally used to do this with just one other in the raid, and then once happy, would do full raid invites.Something that might help *this* week: A soft reset changes the adds. Leave the zone for 30 minutes and you get new adds, so you could go in early and see what you have. If you like them, just hang out in the zone until raid time - otherwise, leave for a while, then try again.".
